The New Year celebrations of DGF and WOW India began with a social message “Beti Bacho Beti Padao” a National Campaign adopted by Delhi Gynaecologist Forum and WOW India. Separate corners were dedicated for video shooting wherein members could express their views on “Save the Girl Child” This was followed by a brilliant talk by Dr. Sharda Jain on “Uterine Fibroid”.

This was followed by the Award giving ceremony. The first Award for Women of the Year was bestowed upon Dr. Sonal Batla a Gynaecologist who has dedicated her life to work in the community. She has conducted 100 camps and carried out 5000 safe surgeries in remote areas.

The Second award in the field of Social work was given to Ms. Maya Gupta Principal Universal Public School, Preet Vihar for her contribution in the field of Education.

This was followed by a “Passion Show “ by the doctors of East Delhi Gynae Forum wherein they showed how they can contribute to the service of the community such as Green India, Clean India Zumba dance ,etc.

The East Delhi Gynae Forum also dedicated an award upon Dr. Sharda Jain for being a the best teacher for them .

Goomer dance was performed by the doctor from South Delhi Gynae forum and WOW India.

Ms. Swati Shree from WOW India rendered three songs in her melodious voice which was appreciated by all . Thus the New Year celebrations was full of fun and learning for all the women.
