In the last one year the biggest achievement of the group has been the solidarity and unity in the gynaecologists of south Delhi. We took over the forum in the midst of a lot of acrimony and negativity. After the turmoil that prevailed when we took over the group it was a difficult task to get things in place. Much to our discomfort the forum had become synonymous with karaoke and tambola without any academic activity. In addition there was no member list or contact details available. The forum had to be restarted from a scratch. But now DGFS is strongly defined by its academic activities – the regularity and the content of academics has been phenomenal. The attendance in all such CME has been par excellance. The stress has always been on encouraging participation at all levels . The forum has indeed become a friendly place where people interact and feel comfortable. Sometimes there is a quiz in the end where participation by juniors is actively encouraged.

A CME a month is the target of the group , in which the selected topics are discussed comprehensively. Definitive focus is on the selection of the speaker and the chairpersons so that the nuances of the topic can be discussed in detail.
In addition , there was a special CME held where the seniors were honoured.

A live laparoscopy PVRwokshop was also held with Dr Rajesh Modi where live laparoscopic surgeries were relayed in PVR - a first in Delhi - about 450 delegates attended it.

Not only the cme, the DGFS whats app group has also become a forum for academic discussion …

The future plans of the forum include a charity and social wing
